The Gift of Feelings (Even Jesus had his doubt)

As I sit here and ponder I am struck by the enormity of life’s challenges.

On a good day I live my life with the principles that we are loved and admired throughout the universe, that “in the moment” our world is perfection and we create our own reality.

I make a practice of intending Love and Light in all my actions, on a daily basis. Despite this, sometimes there are other lessons awaiting me. My passion, my creativity and my soul chooses lesson that sometimes invoke chaos over peace, disease over ease, victim hood over power and sometimes… I even feel and share the pain of my fellow human beings and the planet.

In my reality we must experience all the shades to know the depth of light. It isn’t always pretty; it may not be enlightened, it may not be compassionately detached but it is juicy and full of life lessons.

Because of our desire to be in the state of enlightenment like Jesus, Buddha etc. we can forget the process of how these individuals evolved and lived their lives. Yes they went into the wilderness, they spent years under a tree, but they also battled with the masses and at times were thoroughly disgusted with it all. If you believe in the stories, Jesus certainly had his moments of doubts when he was hanging from the cross. I would imagine he was feeling, feeling deeply not just about his relationship with God but feeling all of humanity.

I have read that other Beings honor us because we have the ability to feel. In the name of enlightened detachment let us not detach from the intimacy of our lives. Play, have fun, feel sorrow, feel deeply, feel with others, it’s all good.

I go now… to practice the Zen art of picking up dog poop in my backyard. Before enlightenment pick up dog poop, after enlightenment pick up dog poop. Life is an adventure!

Love & Light
Sandy
